CES is an internationally leading manufacturer of locking systems and electronic access control systems with a history that dates back to 1840. The company is based in Velbert and pioneered the industrial production of locking cylinders in Germany. When Carl Eduard Schulte took over the firm from his father in 1857, he gave it the name it still bears today – C.Ed.Schulte Zylinderschlo?fabrik or CES in short. Under this name, the company established its national and international reputation as a specialsit for reliable security systems.
